John Stringer is a composer and conductor based in York, England. His works have been performed across Europe and the US by prestigious players and ensembles including Rohan de Saram, Magnus Andersson, Pascal Gallois, Noriko Kawai, Melinda Maxwell, the BBC Symphony and Philharmonia orchestras, Ensemble 10/10, New Noise and de Ereprijs.

Works in progress include pieces for bass clarinet and piano and solo contrabass clarinet. Recently completed works are Disquiet III for solo harpsichord and Pansori for viola and piano. Full List

Recent repertoire includes a rare performance of David Lumsdaine's Kali Dances. Other current repertoire includes Debussy's Nocturnes and Saariaho's Ciel d'Hiver.  For a (perhaps not  complete) list  of repertoire  please see here
